Multi-Frequency TRAXALL Transmitter
The X400-Ex family are CDI's largest TRAXALL compatible and fully explosion-proof ATEX rated electromagnetic transmitters. This family consists of four transmitters which house 2, 3, 4 or 5 D-Cell batteries. These transmitters have both user-adjustable frequency and output power through the use of CDI's FieldLink wireless communications system. Using CDI's TRAXALL transmitters, an operator may have direct control over battery life vs. field strength tradeoffs. Short pig runs can go for maximum power and long pig runs can be more conservative by using pulsing modes and/or reduced power.
ATEX Compliant
The X400-Ex family of transmitters are ATEX rated for use in Zone 1 explosive environments. Beyond their ATEX certification and minor mechanical differences, the X400 transmitters are functionally the same as the non-ATEX versions.

FieldLink is CDI's proprietary wireless communications network. Each X100 family transmitter comes with a built-in radio frequency antenna and by connecting to the transmitter with our proprietary radio frequency USB key (sold separately), any Windows PC or laptop can wirelessly communicate to and configure the transmitter.
